Freddie Flintoff reveals Justin Bieber REFUSED to meet him because he’s too tall

Freddie Flintoff has claimed that Justin Bieber refused to meet with him because he was too tall.

The 6ft 4in Cricket player, 42, revealed the unexpected anecdote with the 5ft 9in singer during an appearance on talkSPORT on Tuesday.

Detailing how he and his children went to a Meet and Greet with the Baby hitmaker, Freddie revealed that a member of the singer’s security team stopped him from even meeting Justin during the photo opp.

Shocking: Freddie Flintoff revealed on Tuesday that Justin Bieber REFUSED to meet him at a fan event with his children because the singer ‘doesn’t like big guys’

Freddie explained: ‘We went to see Bieber a few years ago and we managed to get a meet-and-greet.

‘This American fella comes out and says: “Okay, when you see Justin, you don’t go near him, you don’t touch him, you don’t look at him in the eye.”

‘So I said, “Hang on a minute, mate. I’ve met the Queen. I’ve got an MBE. This is Justin Bieber.”‘

‘So we walked in, we got to the front of the queue, and the kids got a photograph. I took one step forward and I got the arm holding me back. This fella turned around and said, “He don’t like big guys.”

Freddie admitted he was left shocked by the remark, as he called it ‘the weirdest thing’ he’s had to experience.

‘I was there watching my kids have a photograph with him but I didn’t meet him,’ he added. ‘He doesn’t like big guys.’

His story comes after he revealed he and wife Rachael secretly welcomed their fourth child over Christmas.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Freddie said: ‘Little Preston was born at Christmas – it is the first time I’ve actually spoken about it.’

The former England cricket captain and wife Rachael Wools, 39, have paid tribute to his birthplace, Preston, by naming him after the Lancashire city.

Freddie – who also has kids Holly, 15, Corey, 14, and Rocky, 12 – first announced his wife’s pregnancy in October after Rachael revealed her bump at the Attitude Awards.

The Top Gear presenter has been spending the current coronavirus lockdown with his family at their home in Greater Manchester, and has loved spending more quality time with his newborn son.

He continued: ‘But yeah, we have got another baby and it has been nice spending time with him.’

Freddie and Rachael, who’ve been married for almost fifteen years, were pictured looking glamorous together at a red carpet event where it became evident they had some happy news to share.

A source told MailOnline: ‘They’re over the moon to be expecting again. It’s been exciting news for all the family.’

The ex-England cricketer, real name Andrew, who is an ambassador for Jacamo men’s clothing, was convinced him and Rachael wouldn’t have anymore children after the arrival of their youngest son Rocky.

In 2016 he said: ‘We thought about it. I originally wanted five but you have three and that felt like enough. I couldn’t go back to the nappy stage now.’

But three years on, Freddie and Rachael had decided to expand their brood once again.

Last year, Freddie escaped a serious injury after being involved in a 124mph crash during filming a race on Top Gear.

New chapter: Freddie previously admitted to being fearful of 'going back to the nappy stage' – while saying he and Rachael have always wanted at least five children
