Gavin Rossdale makes 55 look like the new 35 as he goes shirtless on the tennis court… days after celebrating birthday

Rocker Gavin Rossdale celebrated his 55th birthday on Friday, October 30.

As part of his weekend celebration, the Bush frontman was able to enjoy some time on the court playing tennis, which has been one his lifelong passions.

Rossdale showed off his ripped physique when he went shirtless, as he worked up a sweat with the help of the celebrity tennis coach known simply as Coach Patrick.

Rossdale was all smiles while lobbying the ball with Coach Patrick as his beloved Pomeranian pooch Chewy looked on from the sidelines.

With the sun glaring down, the London, England native wore camouflage shorts with black and pink sneakers and blue socks.

He also wore a couple of black necklaces around his neck and pushed his brown locks back off his face in a slick-back style.

On several occasions, Rossdale and Coach Patrick took a break from the action and devoted their attention to Chewy.

Last year, on National Dog Day, the singer and guitarist gushed over his four-legged family member on Facebook.

‘I never had a little dog before but this guy is a champ – he comes on the road with us  [Bush] -on loan from my boys – and he hangs with everyone out here,’ he wrote.

‘Small head big personality – he’s hilarious and Travels like a seasoned pro- He is loved.’

Rossdale took to Instagram on Saturday to thank all the well-wishers who paid tribute to him on his 55th birthday.

‘Happy weird Halloween-love you and thank you for so many birthday wishes- I feel your love,’ he captioned a photo of himself all bandaged up, seemingly for Halloween, along with prayer and heart emojis.

Bush recently announced two socially-distanced, drive-in shows in Southern California to celebrate the October 30 release of the deluxe version of the band’s latest album, The Kingdom.

They’ll hit the stage at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar on November 20, and at the Ventura County Fair Grounds in Ventura on November 21.
