Girl, seven, ‘is stabbed to death in attack by woman in a park in Bolton’
A seven-year-old girl has died after she was stabbed in a park in Bolton, it has been reported.
A woman in her 30s is said to have been arrested in connection with the incident, which took place in Queen’s Park this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the 22-acre park after reports a young girl had been attacked by two women who then ran away from the scene.
Eyewitnesses said they saw the victim being given CPR as two adults stood ‘covered in blood’ nearby.

Several police cars were this afternoon parked nearby the scene and entrances to the park were cordoned off.
Forensics teams were seen gathering evidence while Tactical Aid Officers appeared to search for a weapon.
Kelly Roscoe posted on Facebook: ‘Me and Lee have just taken Ava for some fresh air on Queen’s Park and have just witnessed a little girl being given CPR with two adults stood covered in blood (presuming this was her parents)
‘A couple of people said that two women had stabbed the little girl and ran off.

Another witness, Paula Whylie, said she had watched an Air Ambulance land in the park from her mother’s hospice room.
‘It’s all taped off now, if what I’m reading is right we are living in a sad sad world,’ she added.
