The blonde beauty said she needs contact with her family as they are all in the same pod. It’s ‘the one thing that can soothe the human heart,’ she said.

Hawn recently stayed at the family’s ranch in Aspen with her son Oliver Hudson, 44, and his family.

When in Los Angeles, she is with her daughter, Kate Hudson, 41, who has a home ‘just down the street.’

Goldie said: ‘We play; we see each other a lot. We are all tested all the time, so we are loving and hugging each other.’

She also has 34-year-old son Wyatt Russell with longtime partner Kurt Russell.

As far as lockdown, Goldie said it is hard on the mind.

‘This is showing us the fragility of the human mind. Mental health is front and center right now. It’s not just meditation, it’s also understanding ways and means to be, and how we find our place.

‘How do we find our calm? This is the first time MindUP has gone into this kind of [Insight Timer] app.’

Through her nonprofit organization’s signature program, MindUP, Hawn has focused on how to instill connectedness and mindful awareness in children.

MindUP provides a curriculum for schools and families around the world centered on giving young ones ‘brain breaks,’ encouraging focus, optimism and empathy, according to WSJ.

‘In the wake of the pandemic, she has recently made some of the program available for free for the first time, via a partnership with the mindfulness app Insight Timer. ‘If I could give MindUP away and still survive as an organization, I would in a minute,’ she says. ‘I wish I was so unbelievably, independently wealthy, I wouldn’t have to ask for a dime. ‘Mental health,’ she adds, ‘is front and center right now.’

The star talked about what she’s learned from her daughter Kate, a successful actress and co-founder of Fabletics.

‘It’s very interesting when you talk about what you learn from your own children because oftentimes when you look at what you admire about them, all you know is that they not only have taken what you have helped instill but also [have] brought it out into the world,’ said the Seems Like Old Times actress.

‘Learning something from your child is really more about the joy of watching them amplify what it is that you believed in.’

‘I wake up at about 7 a.m. [The first thing I do is] say some affirmations, which is how my day is going to be—It’s going to be great—take a lot of deep breaths; I breathe big, deep breaths, hold it—especially if I’m feeling sleepy—and, after about four breaths, my eyes just pop right open. Oxygen is a big deal,’ she said.

And she doesn’t waste time on makeup as she keeps her beauty routine simple.

‘I don’t do much. I was using coconut oil for a while on my face. My mom used to do lemon; she’d squeeze lemon, and she’d put it on her face. I also glance a lot at my face, but I don’t study it. I’m not a studier of my face, of my beauty,’ she said.
