In the amusing clip posted to Instagram, he was seen wearing a paisley maxi skirt, a grey cardigan and knitted snood.

Gordon’s short blonde locks were hidden beneath a grey wig and he rocked glasses, but it did little to disguise his distinctive features.

He said: ‘Tilly it’s your grandma,’ as he referred to his daughter, Matilda, 19.

The restaurant tycoon then proceeded to twirl and thrust his hips, all while clutching a white handbag and walking stick.

He went on to lift his skirt, revealing his navy briefs while the camera operator chuckled in the background.

Gordon captioned the priceless video: ‘Can’t tell you how happy I am to say goodbye to 2020, here’s my little dance to put a smile on your face after a tough year!! Wishing you all a very happy new year. Heres to 2021!! G x.’

Just four days earlier on Monday, the Michelin starred chef became reminiscent as he marked his and wife Tana’s 24th wedding anniversary, by dedicating a throwback post to her.

He took to Instagram to share the post, which showed the then-newlyweds beaming as they stood beside one another after exchanging nuptials.

The couple are the proud parents of five children – twins Holly and Jack, 20, Megan, 22, Matilda and little Oscar, 19 months. They also lost a baby boy, Rocky, when Tana was five months pregnant in 2016.

Last week, Tana reflected on the ‘nerve wracking’ experience of twin son and daughter Jack and Holly’s first year after their premature birth in 2000.

The broadcaster, 46, took to Instagram last Thursday to share the poignant post and post adorable photos of the twins as toddlers and young children.

In a paid-for post for Pampers, she wrote: ‘Each Christmas as a family we reflect back on the year we have had – looking back to when we were coming up for Jack and Holly’s first Christmas it was especially poignant.

‘The development of a premature baby is incredibly nerve wracking when it is an uncertain start and you want to see them grow and thrive yet not wish away the first moments.

‘Seeing them become little chubby, healthy babies within the first year was a true blessing and I will always be grateful for the determination they showed and their feisty characters – although as the years passed they certainly gave me plenty of battles….

‘Yet this is what I wished for when they were laying in incubators looking so vulnerable.’
