Gwyneth Paltrow EXCLUSIVE: Actress, 48, gets the VIP treatment at the DMV as she jumps the line

Waiting at the DMV might be a chore for most of us – but not if you’re a Hollywood star like Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Oscar winning actress, 48, got the VIP treatment at the Santa Monica DMV on Monday, skipping a queue of 50 people and getting out in just 30 minutes.

Paltrow kept a low profile while sneaking in the back door of the building with a bodyguard around 11am.

Meanwhile, a long line of 50 or so regular people line stood out front and patiently waited for their turn outside on the cloudy, 63 degree Southern California day.

The Goop maven’s trip was quick, and she was seen leaving about 30 minutes after her arrival.

While Paltrow was enjoying the perks of being famous, she previously said being a  celebrity has been a ‘pretty terrible’ experience.

Speaking on the Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast last month, the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and director Bruce Paltrow said: ‘I’ve been in the public eye for so many years, the surreal part is having been famous, basically, my whole adult life, so I don’t know what it means to be a grown-up without all of the scrutiny and all of the wonderful things and terrible things that come with being a famous person.’

She added: ‘I think our culture idealizes fame so much, and I actually think it’s [a] pretty terrible thing to be famous, if our purpose on the planet is for human development and to really become the truest, best version of ourselves.

‘I think fame is a huge impediment to that, and I’ve had to work really hard to separate the fame from who I am.’

Paltrow was chic as ever for her DMV appointment where she donned loose blue jeans with a puff-sleeves black blouse and flat sandals.
