‘We hated each other’: Heartbreak High star Rel Hunt reveals his explosive on-set feud with co-star Callan Mulvey

He played Ryan Scheppers, a smarmy bad boy and sportsman, on seasons four and five of Heartbreak High.

And on Thursday, Rel Hunt revealed his explosive on-set feud with his co-star Callan Mulvey, who played Bogdan ‘Draz’ Drazic in the hit Australian television program.

‘We had fight scenes where we were throwing each other and I guarantee you there were times when my fist was clenched when I was hitting him. And same, he would hit me too. We hated each other,’ Rel, 46, told WHO.

‘He’d know what pissed me off and I’d know what would piss him off and you use that in a scene and it would flare up,’ he said.

However, Rel explained there wasn’t any hostility between the pair ‘when they called cut and filming ended for the day’.

He also revealed he had a secret crush on his co-star, Ada Nicodemou but she wasn’t interested.

‘I had a thing for Ada Nicodemou but she didn’t want a bar of me,’ he revealed.

Rel went on to play small roles in Home and Away, Sea Patrol and also had a role in the straight to DVD film Cruel Intentions Two.

After playing William Archer on Underbelly: Razor in 2011, the actor revealed he’s now based in America and does voice acting for cartoons.

Meanwhile, Callan landed a role in feature film Thunderstruck but after filming ended he was involved in a smash near Byron Bay on New Year’s Eve, 2003.

He endured months of treatment, had 17 titanium plates inserted to repair the fractures to his face and lost one of his eyes.

He told Kyle and Jackie O of the horrific car crash, ‘I thought it was curtains for me at the time. A whole midsection of my face collapsed, I got cut ear to ear over the top of my head, my scalp got pulled down, and they rebuilt my face.’
