Helen Hunt, 57, rocks a wetsuit in the ocean to beat the heat in Malibu … before Los Angeles beaches shut down for the Fourth of July

Helen Hunt is making the most of the summer months.

The 57-year-old actress was smiling from ear-to-ear while taking a dip in the Pacific ocean in Malibu on Tuesday.

Come Friday, however, all the beaches in Los Angeles county will be shut down for the Fourth of July holiday weekend in an effort to stem the spread of coronavirus.

Helen looked ready to hang 10 while frolicking in the crashing waves wearing a short sleeved O’Neill wetsuit.

The makeup free actress grinned happily walking out of the sea with her blonde locks wet with salt water.

She was also spotted protecting her face from the blazing sun while on the sand with a black baseball cap.

The Twister star is a total beach bum and regularly seen getting in her exercise in the sea while boogie boarding.

Helen was getting her fill of the pristine Malibu coastline before all of the Los Angeles county beaches get temporarily shut down for July 4th weekend.

Officials ordered the closures of beaches, beach access points, piers and bike paths this week in the hopes of curtailing the rising number of coronavirus cases in the area.

Last year, the Oscar winner reunited with her Mad About You costar Paul Reiser for a revival of the romantic comedy series, which originally ran from 1992–1999.

The series followed the two newlyweds as they navigated their relationship and living in New York.

The eighth season found their relationship strained but still functioning 20 years later while their almost-grown daughter had left the nest to attend nearby New York University.

The series, which originally aired on NBC, was picked up by Spectrum Originals as a one-off limited series.
