Hilary Duff playfully rolls her eyes as she stops to breastfeed newborn daughter Mae: ‘That late afternoon cluster feed…’

Hilary Duff shared a short video to her Instagram Story on Tuesday afternoon.

The Disney Channel alum was seen humorously rolling her eyes while breastfeeding her newborn daughter Mae, who remained wrapped up in a comfortable-looking baby blanket.

The 33-year-old actress welcomed her newest child, whom she shares with her second husband Matthew Koma late last month.

Duff was pictured wearing a neutral-toned and tie-dyed hoodie in the Story post.

Her lengthy blonde hair had fallen onto her left shoulder, chest and backside before she took the video.

The High School Musical actress also added a text graphic to the Story post that read: ‘That late afternoon cluster feed…’ 

The performer took to her Instagram not long after Mae’s birth to announce that the child had been added to their family, and she has shared several images of the baby to her account since then.

Mae is Duff’s second child with her husband, songwriter Matthew Koma, whom she married in 2019.

The two were first romantically connected in 2017, although they worked together in close capacity for her 2015 studio album, entitled Breathe In. Breathe Out.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, whom they named Banks Violet, currently aged two, a few months before they announced their engagement in May of 2019.

The Lizzie McGuire star also shares an older son named Luca Cruz, aged nine, with her former husband, Mike Comrie.

Duff and the former professional ice hockey player began dating in 2007 and tied the knot three years later before amicably separating and finalizing their divorce in 2016. 

During an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress expressed that she has experienced both highs and lows when taking care of her children. 

She remarked, ‘I have my days where I’m like, “Oh, I moved mountains and I deserve a medal.” And then there are other days where I’m like, “How can I complain?”‘

The Agent Cody Banks actress also noted that the circumstances of the pandemic have served to bring her closer to her family and that she was grateful for her newfound closeness.

‘This has also been like a really big time to reflect and just be a little bit more still. We have each other and that’s enough right now,’ she said.

Duff concluded that, although being a parent was difficult at times, she was fully prepared to take on the challenge of motherhood. 

‘They’re funny and they make us laugh and they also frustrate the hell out of us,’ she said.
