Holly Willoughby shows off her lithe legs as she soaks up the London sunshine

She was absent from This Morning on Monday. 

And Holly Willoughby was sure to enjoy her time off as she shared a stunning snap showing her soaking up the sun in a summery ensemble to plug her new Marks And Spencer collection to her 7.1million followers. 

The star, 40, looked incredible in the snap which came shortly after she teased a new project and thanked Rochelle Humes for ‘keeping the sofa warm’ in her absence.

Holly was putting on a sensational display as she sat in the sunshine while sporting camouflage shorts and a light knit ombre jumper. 

She added a caption on the shot reading: ‘Suns out… legs out! It’s glorious out there… however a cosy sweatshirt to keep the chill away is a must and this tie dye one from @marksandspencer is just what I have been looking for’. 

Holly has been enjoying some time away from the studio over the Easter Holidays, yet fans were stunned when it was revealed she was taking another week off. 

The previous day she had shared a selfie with a glimpse of her son Chester and a notebook alongside the teasing caption about the project. 

She wrote: ‘Vitamin D, caffeine and a side order of distraction from Chester. Working on something else next week which I can’t wait to share with you all…. Thank you to the lovely @rochellehumes for keeping my side of the sofa warm… x’.  

Holly has been away from This Morning since Easter, with the star heading off on holiday with a bang after celebrating co-host Phillip Schofield’s birthday on April 1.

Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford then stood in for Holly and Phillip for a week. The couple were cut from their regular Friday slot for Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary last year.  

Then last week, Alison and Dermot covered for the regular hosts and treated viewers to their on-screen frolics

From Monday, Rochelle will stand -in for Holly, joining Phillip on the sofa.

Holly’s latest stunning selfie comes after she looked gorgeous in a white maxi dress in a snap shared to mark the lightened restrictions of lockdown across the UK.

The presenter was in high spirits as she told her followers: ‘Restrictions are lifting, shops are opening, summer is on its way… Full of hope and feeling good!’
