Home and Away cast film their final scenes for the year at Palm Beach – just hours before a Covid outbreak on Sydney’s northern beaches

The Home and Away cast filmed their final scenes for the year in Palm Beach on Wednesday, just one day before a Covid-19 outbreak on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Many of the show’s stars, including Patrick O’Connor, Georgie Parker and Ada Nicodemou, excitedly shared photos from the set to Instagram.

‘The fam is about to checkout of 2020,’ Patrick, 28, captioned a photo of himself with Georgie and fellow co-star Lukas Radovich.

Meanwhile, Georgie celebrated her 56th birthday on set and posted a series of photos of herself having fun with her colleagues.

‘Even though I worked all day on location, I had a great birthday thanks to my beautiful workmates,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘The cast and incredible crew helped me feel the love at Palmy today. Thanks for the messages and kindnesses as well.’

In addition to Ada, Patrick and Lukas, she was joined on set by Emily Weir and Emily Symons, who also uploaded a slew of selfies.

Ada, 43, who plays Leah Patterson-Baker on Home and Away, shared several photos from the set while paying tribute to Georgie on her birthday.  

‘Happy birthday @georgieparker have a fun location day today with 100% humidity,’ she wrote.

In a separate post, she shared a photo of herself and Patrick, and revealed they rarely get to work together because their characters are involved in different storylines.

‘Even though we work on the same show, we don’t do a lot of scenes together,’ she wrote.

On Thursday, it was revealed a cluster of coronavirus cases had emerged on Sydney’s northern beaches.

So far, six people have tested positive for the virus and the hunt is on for the mystery super-spreader behind the outbreak.

Authorities are urging people who have been in the area to come forward and get tested, even if they are showing the mildest symptoms.

‘We want to get on top of this and don’t want this concerning us in the last few days before Christmas and urging everyone to be as vigilant as ever,’ said New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
