Her time to shine: Imogen Anthony makes a rare public appearance at the Tenet premiere in Sydney… after her split from Kyle Sandilands a year ago

Imogen Anthony shined on the red carpet on Thursday as she made a rare public appearance a year after splitting from radio host Kyle Sandilands.

The 29-year-old model looked simply stunning in a red dress while arriving at the COVID-safe premiere of Christopher Nolan’s new film, Tenet, in Sydney.

She completed her look with strappy heels and a designer handbag, and styled her bronde hair loosely in a middle parting.

Moving on: Imogen Anthony shined on the red carpet on Thursday as she made a rare public appearance a year after splitting from radio host Kyle Sandilands

Imogen, formerly an enfant terrible of Sydney’s social scene, has mostly kept a low profile since her split from Kyle in 2019, after eight years of dating.

One reason for this, of course, has been the coronavirus pandemic, which has effectively shut down all red carpet events in the Harbour City.

The outspoken fashion designer seemed to enjoy her moment in the spotlight, and oozed confidence as she twirled for the cameras in her stylish ensemble.

Kyle had announced his break-up from Imogen live on his KIIS FM breakfast show on Tuesday, November 5.

He told listeners they ‘haven’t been living with each other’ for months and their relationship had simply ‘run its course.’

He began his statement: ‘A lot of people have been hitting us up on social media, a few phone calls, some media enquiries about my relationship status.

‘We haven’t been living with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s just run its course.’

Referring to his co-host, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who separated from her husband last year, he added: ‘Here were are, all in the same boat. You’re single, I am…’

Imogen broke her silence on the split several days later, posting an emotional video to Instagram in which she said the pair ‘still love each other’.

‘We have a lot to deal with separately, she said.

‘It’s probably been one of the hardest years of our lives, separately. I’ve got so much family stuff, and there’s so much health stuff involved between us.

‘We just kind of want to… get each other, get ourselves into the best form of ourselves we can be, without kind of just p**ing in each other’s pockets.

‘We still love each other very much, we speak every day. We still see each other, we deal with things with each other.’

Despite their separation, Imogen is believed to still be living at the former couple’s $2.9million farm in the NSW Southern Highlands.

They also share the same manager, Bruno Bouchet.
