‘I was broken’: Imogen Anthony reflects on her ‘rollercoaster’ year since devastating split from ex-boyfriend Kyle Sandilands
It has been a year since Imogen Anthony and Kyle Sandilands publicly ended their eight-year relationship.
And Imogen, 29, marked the sad occasion by sharing an emotional Instagram essay about the turmoil that followed her painful split from the KIIS FM shock jock, 49.
Posting to Instagram on Friday, Imogen uploaded a photo of herself wearing a sexy cowboy outfit, while in the caption explaining she had found it difficult to get into the Halloween spirit this year thanks to the memories of her breakup.

‘I am still celebrating my favourite time of the year, I would never not. But truth be told, last Halloween sucked for me,’ she confessed.
Imogen went on to describe the sad truth of her solo holiday to America last Halloween.
‘My relationship had already broken down prior to going to LA, tried to keep everything private, but with threats of everything coming undone, and looking further like a d**khead, it all happened at once,’ she wrote.

‘Part of me was having fun in LA, but I was broken at the same time. Holding every piece of myself together, literally, until I eventually broke.’
Imogen added it was the ‘public and media’s input which made things worse’ before going on to describe 2020 as ‘an absolute a**hole’ of a year, but noted ‘amazing things have come out of it’.
‘It has been a roller coaster but i am on the other side and alive, with all my animals, and sanity included,’ Imogen – who lives on the hobby farm she once shared with Kyle – added.

Kyle announced his split from Imogen on The Kyle and Jackie O Show last November, telling shocked listeners the couple ‘hadn’t been living with each other’ for quite some time.
‘We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course,’ he said.
Kyle then started dating his personal assistant and the director of communications for King Kyle Pty Ltd, Tegan Kynaston, 34.
Despite initially denying claims they were dating, their relationship was confirmed in January when Tegan shared a picture of herself kissing Kyle on the cheek in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
