Inside footy WAG Rebecca Judd’s very bouji Christmas

Inside Bec Judd’s bouji Christmas: Footy WAG known for her expensive taste reveals her posh holiday plans – and the one chore she REFUSES to do

She’s the well-heeled WAG affectionately known as ‘Bec from Brighton’ due to her fondness for the finer things in life.

And Rebecca Judd revealed her suitably posh Christmas plans on KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up on Monday.

While discussing the upcoming holidays, the 37-year-old mother of four told listeners she was in charge of making the seafood this year.

Inside Bec Judd’s bouji Christmas! The footy WAG known for her expensive taste has revealed her posh holiday plans, as well as the one chore she refuses to do: peeling the prawns

She is planning a full spread of the finest oysters and prawns, but won’t be peeling the prawns herself because she doesn’t want ‘fishy fingers’.

Rebecca’s co-host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond observed that it’s always the richest person attending a Christmas lunch who gets tasked with the seafood.

‘The seafood’s the pricey thing,’ Monty said. ‘It’s always the person in the family… like, our dad always has to bring it because we know he has the most coin.

‘With you and yours it’s, “Bec, you’ve got the seafood covered!”‘

Rebecca said she volunteered to provide the seafood because she’s very particular about the prawns.

‘I want the prawns already peeled,’ she said. ‘I don’t like peeling the prawns, because it makes your fingers stink like fish.’

Monty pointed out that pre-peeled prawns have already been handled by someone else, meaning it’s more hygienic to do it yourself.

‘But they’re wearing gloves,’ Rebecca replied.

‘It’s a Covid world, right? I’d rather pay a little bit more and have the prawns freshly peeled than have to sit there on Christmas Day with stinky fish fingers.’

The co-founder of activewear label Jaggad also revealed she was making the dessert this year: her signature chocolate pavlova.

‘I’ll make the chocolate pav because I love it,’ she gushed. ‘It’s the Nigella Lawson [recipe]. You can Google it. You’re welcome.

‘I love the positive attention that I get from it. “Oh, you’re such a good baker!”‘ No one else is allowed to bring a pav, like, anywhere at any time.’

It comes after Rebecca unveiled her Christmas tree last month, opting for a more traditional style in comparison to the ‘Scandi stick’ she’s had in previous years.

She will be celebrating the festive season at her $7.3million home in Brighton, Melbourne, with her husband, retired AFL star Chris Judd, and their four children, son Oscar, nine, daughter Billie, six, and four-year-old twins Tom and Darcy.
