Inside Guy and Jules Sebastian’s coronavirus ‘fortress’: Self-isolating couple offer a rare glimpse of their ultra-modern $3.1million home

Guy and Jules Sebastian have offered fans a rare glimpse inside their ultra-modern Sydney home.

As the couple self-isolate with their two children during the coronavirus pandemic, they have shared pictures and videos from within the $3.1million Maroubra property neighbours once described as a ‘fortress’.

From their own tennis court to a grand piano, the family have plenty of ways to occupy themselves with as they remain indoors for the foreseeable future.

Last month, Guy performed an Instagram Live concert for fans. He accompanied himself on the piano situated below the home’s central spiral staircase.

The nine-metre high staircase is made of steel and encased in white render, and serves as the focal point of the main foyer entrance.

Guy and Jules opted for a monochrome palette with their interior design, with concrete walls and black and white features throughout.

Working remotely will be no problem for stylist Jules, who has her own home office.

When it comes to getting some fresh air, the family are fortunate enough to have their own tennis court and luxury outdoor lounge area.

Last week, Jules filmed a video for Instagram from her bathroom, which features a sleek his-and-hers vanity unit, circular mirrors and stylish brass taps.

The mother-of-two revealed in another clip that she had managed to finish renovating her children’s bedrooms before coronavirus was declared a pandemic.

Jules created custom furniture with Freedom Wardrobes, which she said was both functional and in alignment with ‘the look and feel of our home’.

Guy purchased the $3.1million house in 2013, and then spent two-and-a-half years renovating it. He finally moved in with his family in June 2019.

Neighbours had long complained about the development, with many describing it a ‘fortress’ because of its monolithic facade and others even threatening to move away from the area.

In December, Guy defended the renovation, telling KIIS FM: ‘It’s a long build, but it’s a pretty special house. It’s not normal. It’s not a cookie-cutter house. It’s cool.’
