The 27-year-old filmmaker and dancer relocated to Australia from West Africa at the age of 14, and even had to learn English at school in year nine.

Incredibly, he also has a teaching degree and can speak French and Spanish. 

In a YouTube clip shared on the #GUD Channel, AB spoke about his upbringing, before taking part in a dance game. 

‘I had to learn English in high school in grade nine – that was fun. I didn’t understand what Shakespeare was all about,’ AB said.

He added that he grew up speaking an African language as well as French, which helped him with his degree. 

‘I did a teaching degree, specialising in French and Spanish,’ AB said. 

‘Where I’m from in West Africa, there’s a bunch of countries there who can speak French.’

AB said he teaches at high school and spoke about his passion for dance.  

‘Dancing was such an accident,’ he said. 

AB can be seen in a number of clips on YouTube, showing off his dance skills.

On The Bachelor on Wednesday, AB shocked viewers when he rejected Becky Miles at the rose ceremony.  

After hearing Becky, 30, call out his name during the first rose ceremony, a solemn AB shocked viewers when he stepped forward and apologised.

‘Becky, I’m really sorry. You’re absolutely beautiful and unfortunately, I cannot accept this rose.’

His decision to walk away from the blonde beauty left the other suitors stunned and confused, calling the moment an ‘absolute bombshell’. 

AB then pulled Becky aside for a private chat to explain his decision, despite turning on the charm for her during their initial meeting earlier on in the night.

‘I just don’t think I’m the right person for you. It’s only right that I’m honest with you right now instead of letting you know down the road,’ he told her.  

While clearly stunned and upset by his decision to leave, Becky conceded that she respected him for being honest and upfront with her.

‘I really appreciate your honesty, for stepping up and telling us how you feel,’ she told him.

AB apologised again, but Becky told him it was ‘alright’, before they wished each other well and went their separate ways.

The Bachelor continues on Thursday on Channel 10 at 7:30pm.
