Issa Rae was the definition of beach chic as she shot Insecure in LA on Wednesday.
The writer/actress, 36, turned heads while wearing a bright orange swim top and chic coral shorts for a shoreside party scene, where she was joined by co-star Yvonne Orji.
Though the production was outside, creators decided to take extra precautions against COVID-19 by giving each actor an individual plastic ‘pod’ to sit in between takes.

While waiting to film from within her translucent, plastic pod, Issa juggled two phones and sipped on a kombucha.
Then it was time for work.
Issa and Yvonne joked as they waited for cameras to roll, giving Rae an opportunity to flash her world-class smile as she laughed.
As she stood up, you could get the full effect of her outfit, which showcased her toned tummy and legs.

The New York Times Bestselling author had a dewy glow and twisted her hair into two long braids.
Emmy nominee Orji was in high spirits too, making a silly, disapproving face as she stared at her phone and Issa giggled.
Yvonne was dressed to the nines for the beach soiree, clad in a black suit with tons of sexy cut-outs.
Continuing to show skin, the star – who plays Issa’s BFF Molly on the show – was teamed with a netted skirt with fringe.
At another point, a mask-free Rae was seen chatting with Kendrick Sampson, who plays Issa’s love interest Nathan on the series.

It looked like there was some natural chemistry between the pair, as the The Lovebirds star threw her head over her shoulder and beamed during their conversation.
Next season of Insecure with be the show’s fifth and final outing.
Talking about the end with Deadline in January, Rae said: ‘Prentice [Penny] and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end.
‘We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience. I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least.’
Season five of Insecure will premiere later this year on HBO and HBO Max.
