Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals she never had a gender reveal party or got a push present

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson welcomed her only child, daughter Kitty, in December 2010.

And it seems that a lot has changed over the years when it comes to having babies.

On Tuesday, the 45-year-old KIIS FM host revealed that she never had a gender reveal party while pregnant, and also never received a ‘push present’ when she gave birth, which is all the rage now. 

Jackie added that she and ex-husband Lee Henderson, with whom she shares custody of Kitty, didn’t even take many photos of her when she was pregnant. 

It came as Jackie and co-host Kyle Sandilands spoke about how rapper Nicki Minaj, 37, announced she was pregnant this week with bikini pictures on Instagram.

‘I’m wearing a floral maxi in my back garden. That’s the best shot I’ve got [of me pregnant], no kidding,’ Jackie said.

‘We didn’t even take many pictures when I was pregnant.’

Kyle said how common it is now for women to pose up in racy outfits while announcing their pregnancies.

‘It’s a big thing, girls that are super pregnant getting racy outfits on and doing the baby photo like that,’ he said. 

Jackie added: ‘There’s so many things that happened with babies before I had Kitty. It wasn’t the push present, that never happened. I never had the gender reveal party. So I missed out.’ 

A push present is a gift that a woman’s partner or family give her when she has a baby, to mark the milestone of birth. The present is typically jewellery. 

Jackie split from her ex-husband Lee Henderson in October 2018, after 15 years of marriage.

The exes continue to amicably co-parent their daughter, nine-year-old Kitty.
