‘I’m done with the excuses’: Jada Pinkett Smith SLAMS YouTuber Shane Dawson after old clip resurfaces of him ‘sexualising’ her then 11-year-old daughter Willow
Jada Pinkett Smith has hit out at YouTube star Shane Dawson after an old video resurfaced of him making sexual gestures towards a poster of her then 11-year-old daughter Willow Smith.
The actress, 48, took to Twitter and said she was ‘done’ with his excuses, while her son Jaden, 21, said he was ‘disgusted’ with Shane for ‘sexualizing’ his sister, now 19.
On Friday, Shane, 31, uploaded a 20-minute video called ‘Taking Accountability’ to his YouTube channel where he apologised for wearing Blackface, saying the N-word and joking about paedophilia in past videos.

After the clip featuring Willow resurfaced, Jada tweeted: ‘To Shane Dawson … I’m done with the excuses.’
Jaden also took to the social media site and wrote: ‘SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU.
‘YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!! IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.’
In another tweet, he added: ‘This Man Was Also Doing Black Face On The Regular. As The Youth We Need To Support Creators Who Support Us And Our Morals. This Is Not Okay.’

In his apology video, Shane said: ‘Blackface was something that I did a lot… on my channel. And there’s no excuse for it. There’s literally no excuse.
‘I made a video six years ago talking about it and I gave excuses and it was wrong… But I didn’t do the work. I didn’t actually look into the history of it and why it’s so wrong and why people were so upset.’
The vlogger added that he is now aware of the history of blackface and admitted he is sorry for having made the videos.

He said: ‘I am so sorry to anybody that saw that and also saw that people were lifting me up and saying, “You’re so funny, Shane,”.
‘I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be Black and see this white f***ing guy doing blackface and the whole Internet at that time being like, “LOL”‘.
Shane also apologised for previously using the N-word, saying: ‘I’m sorry that I added to the normalisation of blackface or the normalisation of saying the N-word. It’s not a funny word. Especially for a white person to say.’

The internet personality, who has 23 million subscribers, also apologised for having joked about paedophilia, saying he ‘would never talk about a child in a way that is inappropriate’.
Towards the end of his video, Shane added that he is willing ‘to lose everything’ to be held accountable for his actions.
He said: ‘I’m willing to lose everything. At this point, realizing how many people I’ve hurt or how many people I’ve inspired to say awful things or do anything awful, to finally just own up to all of this and be accountable is worth losing everything to me.’
