Jade Goody’s husband Jack Tweed reveals he has found love again 12 years after her death

Jack Tweed has revealed he has found romance again, almost 12 years after the death of his wife Jade Goody.

The 33-year-old is dating a woman from Essex he met on Instagram and said the relationship is ‘the most serious’ one he has had since Jade passed away in 2009.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ‘I’ve met someone. She’s a really nice girl. We talk every day and it’s probably the most serious I’ve been since Jade. It’s hard for me because I will compare it all with Jade. I will never forget about Jade.

‘I know it’s stupid to think about ’cause I’m never gonna get what I had with Jade again and I’m never going to find Jade again. It’s impossible. I have to get out of my head.

I hope it goes well, it’s early days, but I like her a lot and would like to settle down again.’

Jack was 21 when he and Jade married in February 2009, just one month before her death from cervical cancer.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star admitted he had his first falling out with his new girlfriend when he recently posted a tribute to Jade on the 12th anniversary of their wedding day.

Sharing a photo taken at the ceremony, he wrote: ’12 years ago was this special day. Miss you.’

Jack admitted his new lady is ‘not talking’ to him at the moment as she feels he should have warned her before he put the post up.

However, Jack insisted he would feel awful if he didn’t acknowledge their anniversary, but added that he thinks the reason he can’t settle down is because he compares everyone he dates to Jade.

Jack previously dated fellow Big Brother star Chanelle Hayes for three years, but now feels the relationship was a ‘big mistake’ as he looked at her as ‘Jade’s replacement’.

Jack said he desperately misses Jade’s sons Bobby, 17, and Freddie, 16, who she had with Jeff Brazier and even wishes they were his children.

The former reality star feels he was seen as a ‘villain’ while Jeff was a ‘hero’ after Jade’s death but said he brought Bobby and Freddie up while he was with her.

Jade suffered a miscarriage just months before she discovered she had cervical cancer and Jack admitted he often wonders what his life would be like if they had had a child.

Jack said he gave £400,000 of his wedding deal with Jade to Bobby and Freddie to be used for their education and said he still speaks to them, but is not as involved in their lives as he would like.

With the 12th anniversary of Jade’s passing coming up, Jack plans to pay tribute to her again.

Jack added that he can still remember their wedding day like it was yesterday and his fondest memories are of going on holidays with Jade and her sons.

Jack said he struggles to get Jade’s dying moments out of his mind as he was ‘by her side’ until the end.

Feeling he was portrayed as a villain following her death, Jack insisted he ‘never got one penny’ from his wife.

He told how Jade tried to buy him a flat so she would know he was alright after she was gone but he refused, telling her agent not to send her the money for it.

Jack said he still keeps a rope necklace Jade had along with her hospital bracelet and pictures.

Jack struggled to live without Jade, spending £100 a day on cannabis and going to prison after her death.

His mother tried to get him to go to counselling after her passing but Jack refused, saying he didn’t know how to deal with grief at such a young age.

He eventually went on anti-depressants which he took for about seven or eight months, adding he is no longer depressed and is now ‘getting there’.

Jack works as an electrician, the same job he had before he met Jade, and worked throughout lockdown.

Jack tried to get back in touch with Jade’s mother Jackiey Budden last year but failed to get a number for her.

He said he worries about the grandmother, 63, and hopes she’s doing alright, saying he may just go and knock on her door soon as she lives near a friend of his.
