The 41-year-old actress and models meet-up came amid her brutal ongoing custody battle with her estrange husband Kyle Newman.

New friend: Jamie King, 41, was spotted out on Friday night with Sennett Devermont, a social justice–minded entrepreneur, Us Weekly reported

King enjoyed a fun-filled Friday night with Devermont when they were seen grabbing takeout at a Japanese restaurant in West Hollywood.

After the pair dined on ramen noodles with chopsticks outside the eatery, another one of her friends could be seen giving her a long hug at a tattoo parlor, while both wore masks.

For her laid-back outings, the Hart of Dixie star wore a red beanie and and an oversized olive green jacket, which had ‘Kennedy Boys’ written on the back.

Despite visiting a tattoo shop, she didn’t not share any new additions to her large ink collection, which already includes 17 known tattoos.

Devermont is a social justice–minded entrepreneur best known for creating the Mr. Checkpoint app, which encourages users to film police officers during all traffic interactions.

The app was founded in 2011, when the founder was alerted to Southern California police officers setting up DUI checkpoints that allegedly targeted Latin American drivers.

In August, King was spotted picking up groceries with a masked man that appears to have been Devermont.

Her weekend outing comes six months after filing for divorce from her estranged husband Kyle Newman, who filed for sole physical custody of their two children in November.

Despite an ongoing custody battle with Newman, who she was married to for 12 years, King recently expressed that she looks forward to ‘harmonious co-parenting’ their sons seven-year-old James and Leo, five.

Meanwhile, the 44-year-old filmmaker filed legal documents requesting primary physical custody of their little ones, after calling her an ‘absent parent.’

Kyle also said she was away ‘either away at work in Canada or otherwise choosing to be away from them for weeks and months at a time during the Covid-19 pandemic,’  according to ET

Her representative, however, told the outlet: ‘Once again, Kyle’s lawyers have filed selectively redacted documents which perpetuate a false narrative about Jaime.

‘Jaime’s utmost priority has been the well-being of her children and she will continue to pursue this privately for their sake.

‘She wishes Kyle only the best on set in Ontario where he is currently filming as well as successful sales of his newly released ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ cookbook.

‘She looks forward to harmonious co-parenting of the boys when everyone is back home in Los Angeles. Jaime currently has the children with her while she is filming a movie in Puerto Rico after wrapping the second season of her television series.’

In his filing, Kyle asked the court to allocate Jaime ‘monitored supervised visits with the children’ as well as ‘alcohol testing when the [children] are in her custody, and claimed his estranged wife not only failed an alcohol stipulation test in June, but then missed the next five scheduled retests that day.

While he claimed he was ‘concerned’ for the boys’ wellbeing when they’re with Jaime due to her alleged ‘dangerous and erratic behaviour while under the influence of alcohol’, she has hit back in her own response.

Jamie accused Kyle of interfering with her ability to FaceTime her brood and claimed he was trying to sabotage her career.

She wrote in court documents: ‘In February of 2020, [Kyle] attempted to wreak havoc with my professional life. [He] called at least one of the executives on Black Summer after midnight demanding information about me.

‘[He] had a third party call various people who worked on the show demanding that some action be taken before I ‘killed myself’ with drugs or alcohol. No one on set believed that I had an issue, because I did not (and do not.) In fact, I was on set on time every day, and always professional.’

She also expressed her concern for the impact the on-going drama has had on her kids.

She wrote: ‘The boys have experienced a great deal of trauma in the last seven months.’
