He is the proud father of five children.

But Jamie Oliver made an amusing gaffe on Thursday as he marked his daughter Poppy’s 18th birthday on social media, when she in fact turned 19.

The celebrity chef, 45, shared a selfie with his eldest child before quickly realising his mistake and changing the accompanying caption.

Whoops! Jamie Oliver made an amusing gaffe on Thursday as he marked his daughter Poppy’s 18th birthday on social media, when she in fact turned 19

While sporting a navy T-shirt in the throwback photo, Jamie originally penned: ‘Happy 18th Birthday Poppy!! I love you so much I wish I could be with you today have a great day honey xxx,’ alongside a heart emoji.

Poppy was seen wearing a white tee with circular shades perched on her head alongside her father. He promptly updated the caption: ‘Happy 19th Birthday Poppy!! I love you so much wish I could be with you today have a great day honey ❤️xxx’.

Meanwhile his wife Jools, 46, uploaded a snap of a homemade crown, decorated with hearts and flowers, with her daughter’s name etched on the front.

She also shared a stunning photo of Poppy as she wrote: ‘Happy happy birthday Pops my little number 1 [heart emoji].

‘The first time in 19 years that we don’t get to wake you up way to early and present you with your crown! I know I said the 18th crown was the last one but you didn’t look too happy so of course I am going to carry on,’ alongside a laughing face emoji.

‘Love and miss you so much. We are so very proud of you we have lots of surprises for you when you get home. Have a wonderful day my darling ❤️❤️❤️❤️’. (sic)

James rounded out the 2020 on quite the celebratory note, after winning an award for his lockdown TV show Keep Cooking And Carry On.

He subsequently shared a snap with wife Jools and their two sons Buddy, 10, and River, four, to mark his hit show winning an award.

In the image shared to Instagram back in November, the TV chef appeared to be in great spirits as he wrapped an arm around his wife.

Jamie beamed a smile at the camera as he held up his TV Times Magazine gong to mark the occasion with a lovely picture taken in his kitchen.

Buddy and River also appeared impressed at their parents’ achievement and smiled, with the four-year-old even throwing out his arms in celebration.

The chef explained in the caption to his heartwarming picture that his show Keep Cooking And Carry On had been crowned the TV Times’ favourite Lockdown Show.

Jubilant Jamie also said that the series had been filmed on Jools’ phone during the pandemic, joking that the experience was ‘brilliant but also chaos at times’.

Captioning his post, Jamie penned: ‘THANK YOU FOR VOTING! Keep Cooking and Carry On won favourite Lockdown show in the @tvtimesmagazine awards!!

‘I am so pleased that TV Times readers voted for our show. We actually started shooting a few days before lockdown – but when lockdown happened I knew we had to keep making the show.

‘Food became such a massive issue, so I genuinely felt we were performing a public service and I am immensely proud of what we achieved.

‘As the country was running out of ingredients, we wanted to help viewers find simple alternatives and fixes – so turning each episode round quickly was really important.

‘Making a whole series on mine and Jools’ phone – with my wife turned camerawoman – was brilliant but also chaos at times.

‘But I had an amazing crew working remotely to cut the show together in record time. A massive thank you to all. #tvtimesawards2020 #keepcookingcarryon’.

Jamie, who is also dad to Daisy, 17, Petal, 11, has been sharing regular updates during his time in lockdown on Instagram.

In October, the doting dad shared a sweet snap of Jools and their five children lounging on a sofa, affectionately captioning the image: ‘My clan’.

Taking centre stage of the photo was youngest child River, four, who happily larked around in a bee costume – much to the amusement of his mum and siblings.

Little River didn’t fancy sitting down for the snap and instead opted to raid his dressing-up box for the occasion.
