Jessica Lange, 71, masks up for lunch in NYC with daughter Hannah, 34, in rare sighting

Jessica Lange, 71, masks up for lunch in NYC with daughter Hannah, 34, from her 27-year relationship with the late Sam Shepard

Jessica Lange – who’s only a Grammy away from elite EGOT status – bundled up for lunch with her daughter Hannah Jane Shepard in Manhattan’s West Village neighborhood on Monday.

The meal might have been an early birthday celebration for the Minnesota-born 71-year-old’s youngest daughter, who turns 35 on January 13.

The Lange ladies both protected themselves and others from the coronavirus by wearing state-mandated face masks.

COVID-19 is spiking nationwide and there have reportedly been 456K confirmed cases in New York City leading to 25,309 deaths as of Wednesday.

Jessica mothered Hannah and 33-year-old son Samuel Walker from her 27-year relationship with Oscar-nominated actor and playwright Sam Shepard who passed away, age 73, in 2017.

The Highway 61 photographer also mothered 39-year-old daughter Aleksandra Lange ‘Shura’ from her six-year romance with renowned Russian ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Lange’s last acting part was playing Infinity’s (Zoey Deutch) grandmother Dusty Jackson in the first season of Ryan Murphy’s The Politician, which streamed in 2019 on Netflix.

Jessica will next play the late screen legend Marlene Dietrich during her 1960s Las Vegas era in a project produced by the busy 55-year-old showrunner.

‘We’ve got a really good script that Michael Cristofer wrote. At one time, Ryan thought he might want to direct it but he’s got a thousand other things that are going on,’ the practicing Buddhist told EW back in 2019.

‘I don’t particularly want to wait. So, if we can get this going [in 2020] it’ll be great. Ryan will produce and I can sing like Dietrich because she had a very limited range.’

But don’t expect Lange and Murphy to collaborate on another season of American Horror Story after she appeared in Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, and a guest gig in Apocalypse.

‘I don’t think so. I feel like I got the best of it in those first four seasons,’ Jessica noted.

‘Great characters. It was exciting to do. I worked with some of my favorite actors but I can’t see that we could ever get back to that.’

Before making her 1976 debut in King Kong, the University of Minnesota drop-out famously shared an apartment with Jerry Hall and Grace Jones during her Wilhelmina modeling days.
