Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon are good samaritans as they help woman in wheelchair and give money to homeless during outing in Manhattan’s East Village

They are both Oscar-winning Hollywood legends who costarred in Ryan Murphy‘s acclaimed 2017 limited series Feud: Bette and Joan.

And it seems that Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange are still good friends, as they were seen strolling along together in downtown New York City on Friday.

Sarandon, 74, and Lange, 71, were both bundled up in mid-length coats and wearing face masks to protect against the ongoing coronavirus as they ambled along in Manhattan’s East Village area.

The actresses were a pair of do-gooders, as they were seen giving money to homeless people as well as helping an older woman with her wheelchair.

Susan‘s coat was a deep shade of brown, and she donned dark pants.

The Witches Of Eastwick star’s socks were striped, and she wore black footwear that included tassels.

Sarandon added hints of color with her accessories, including rust colored gloves, a coral hat, and her pink face covering.

Jessica, meanwhile, wore a quilted down black puffer coat.

She paired this with blue jeans and black footwear with white soles.

The Cape Fear actress let her blonde hair hang loose in the breeze.

She wore slightly tinted eyewear along with her black face covering.

In 2017, Lange portrayed Joan Crawford while Sarandon embodied Bette Davis in the FX limited series Feud, which recounted the making of the iconic and disturbing 1962 film What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?

The making of that film is the stuff of myth, as the two old Hollywood screen sirens were both considered ‘over the hill’ at the time, and each had a reputation for being rather diva-like as well.

The show, co-created by Ryan Murphy, Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam, earned four Golden Globe nominations as well as over a dozen Emmy nominations, including Lead Actress nods for both starring ladies Lange and Sarandon.

Feud went on to win two Emmys, for Outstanding Makeup for a Limited Series or Movie, as well as Outstanding Hairstyling.
