Jilted Married At First Sight bride sells her wedding ring

While she failed to find love on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, Jaimie Gardner made the most of a bad situation.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, the 35-year-old former MAFS bride revealed she was auctioning off her stunning wedding ring.

Jaimie was partnered with Chris Jensen on the hit Channel Nine reality show, but the former couple struggled to form a meaningful connection.   

‘Being able to turn a very impactful and negative experience into something good is so important to me,’ she explained on Instagram, showing off the breathtaking ring.

‘I am beyond proud to have chosen to partner with eBay and Bid for Good to auction my stunning, one-of-a-kind, 18ct white gold & diamond “Duet” wedding ring – from Pavection by Robert Bellamy.’

Jaimie added that ‘100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to two charities very close to my heart’.

She singled out White Ribbon Australia, a domestic violence charity, and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.    

‘My Dad was diagnosed and has since recovered… men’s health matters too!’ she explained, with the auction having taken place online at 8pm on Monday. 

Jaimie spoke candidly about her often explosive relationship with Chris, 32, after their short-lived stint on the show.  

‘What a showdown! Masking my own truth and being held accountable for someone else’s insecurities has been utterly exhausting,’ she wrote on Instagram in March.

‘I’m grateful that the experience has taught me to trust my gut, stand up for myself and put my own needs at the forefront.

‘Whilst I didn’t meet my “perfect” man (because that doesn’t exist) I have more clarity on what I do and don’t need in my life. I am ready for a real and genuine man that is ready for a mature relationship. Here’s to hoping I’ll meet “the one” someday soon.’
