Jimmy Bartel enjoys quality time with his son Aston after ex-wife’s Nadia’s nose surgery

devoted and doting father to two young boys, who he shares with ex-wife Nadia.

And on Thursday, former AFL star Jimmy Bartel enjoyed a fun play day with his eldest, five-year-old Aston.

The 37-year-old shared a short clip of himself with the little one, who sat behind a fruit stand, playing a shopkeeper.

In the video, the young boy appeared to be busy pushing buttons on his toy cash register putting through his father’s order, before asking him to pay $5.

‘Can I pay with card please?’ Jimmy asked, as the little boy accepted his payment for a box.  

The footy commentator also handed over a $5 note, and in the next image Aston returned the play money, which Jimmy captioned: ‘Take your change dad.’

Missing from the fun was his youngest son, two-year-old Henley, who may have been taking a nap.

Jimmy’s fun day with his son comes after his fashion blogger ex-wife and fashion designer Nadia Bartel underwent a nose operation at a private hospital in Melbourne, late last month.

The exact nature of the procedure is unclear, and she may have had a medical operation to correct an issue with her sinuses. 

Nadia and Jimmy announced their separation on August 15 last year, but they are believed to have actually split two months earlier.

They share custody of their two young sons, Aston, five, and Henley, two.

The retired Geelong Cats star has since moved on with new girlfriend Lauren Mand, while Nadia is dating personal trainer Nathan Brodie.
