John Cena flashes a peace sign in costume as DC character Peacemaker on the set of his standalone series in Vancouver ahead of his 44th birthday
He is slated to appear in this year’s DC villain mashup The Suicide Squad before appearing in this standalone series in 2022.
And John Cena was seen in Vancouver, Canada on Thursday, the eve of his 44th birthday, on the set of The Peacemaker.
The wrestler-turned-actor displayed his muscly physique in the somewhat hokey costume, which consisted of a tight red and blue shirt and tan pants.

At the center of his uniform was a yellow panel displaying a dove, another reference to the character’s sometimes violent quest for peace all around.
Cena walked along in futuristic black boots, and had a black utility belt and empty holster affixed to his trousers.
The WWE star wore a black KN95 face mask and carried a to-go cup of coffee in one enormous hand.
He flashed a peace sign with the other.

John will make his debut as Peacemaker, a DC Comics character first appearing in 1966, in this year’s The Suicide Squad, directed by James Gunn.
The quasi-sequel to 2016’s Suicide Squad will welcome back Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, along with current Oscar nominee Viola Davis as Amanda Waller among others.
The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6th in both theaters and HBO Max.

And this year will also see the Trainwreck actor in another sequel in a huge franchise – F9, in which he will portray Jakob Toretto, linked to Vin Diesel’s character Dominic.
F9 is the ninth movie in the Fast & Furious series, featuring returning cast members Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang, with Oscar winners Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron as well.
The movie will also feature Grammy winner Cardi B as new character Leysa, a woman with a connection to Dom’s past.
