Johnny Ruffo’s girlfriend Tahnee Sims has finally broken her silence on his heartbreaking brain cancer battle. 

Tahnee, who has been with Johnny since 2015, shared a sweet tribute to the former Home and Away star, 32, on Instagram on Monday, after it was revealed the disease has returned for a second time. 

The blonde shared a sweet black and white collage of pictures and called Johnny a ‘superstar.’

‘What a superstar,’ Tahnee captioned the post, adding a love heart emoji. 

In the images, the pair are seen smiling and laughing as they pose for selfies.   

The couple received well wishes from fans and followers, including: ‘Thinking of you both!!’

Last Tuesday, Johnny shocked fans when he revealed that his brain cancer has returned. 

The former X Factor Australia star vowed to beat the disease as he revealed he had been suffering from seizures and ‘excruciating headaches.’

‘After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned, though I will dig deep and beat this s**t disease again,’ he wrote. 

He added the hashtag: ‘F**k cancer.’ 

The actor was first diagnosed with the disease in 2017 but had been in remission.

Johnny has been through an extremely public battle with brain cancer, always having long-time girlfriend Tahnee Simms by his side.

The TV star’s life changed in August 2017 when he had a 7cm brain tumour surgically removed, before undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Doctors had discovered the tumour by chance after Johnny went to hospital with painful migraines. 

He was in a coma for 48 hours after being admitted to hospital.

Just last year, Johnny celebrated being cancer free by posting scans of his brain from 2017 and 2019 to Instagram.

He wrote in the caption: ‘Exactly two years ago versus today, so glad to have beaten this horrible disease. Thank you for all the support!’
