Two people have been charged with murder following the stabbing of teenager Josiah Norman, 17, in Salford this week.

Kaylan Crankshaw, 27, of Dauntsey Avenue, Salford, and a boy aged 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have both been charged with the offence.

They are set to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

A 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been bailed Greater Manchester Police said.

Police were called shortly after 8.15pm on Wednesday, April 21, to a report of a stabbing on Peveril Road in Salford.

Josiah Norman was stabbed in the chest and rushed to hospital for treatment but died from his injuries.
