Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant at Melbourne Cup on first date since the birth of their son

Married At First Sight couple Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant welcomed their son, Oliver Chase, on October 3. 

And after a month at home with their little one – and many months without a cheeky wine for mum Jules – the new parents were ready to let loose on Melbourne Cup day.

Jules, 37, and Cam, 36, shared a number of photos and videos to Instagram during Tuesday afternoon which they spent at Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant in Sydney. 

The couple were dressed to the nines, with Jules wearing a high-neck floral frock and red hat. 

Alongside a very glamorous Instagram image of her outfit, she wrote in her caption: ‘Mamma gone wild’. 

In one video clip, the pair walked along side by side as Cameron declared they were going to ‘paint the town red’. 

Jules then joked that the pair were so tired they could barely speak, but were looking forward to a day out.  

Cameron explained in another post that Jules was craving seafood, while all he wanted was a cold beer. 

In one of the posts, Jules enjoyed a glass of wine and explained it was her first drink of alcohol since January, seeing as she’d spent most of the year pregnant. 

After their dinner, Cameron filmed the empty restaurant, joking that Jules was the ‘last man standing’. 

Cameron also shared a photo of the pair together, beaming, which he captioned jokingly: ‘Be home soon son… Having a terrible time!’ 

Jules explained in one of her Instagram captions that while they were away from their little one, he was their main topic of conversation.

‘Mum and Dad out out. With the main topic of conversation at lunch… our son,’ she told her fans.
