Jules Sebastian defends her husband Guy’s ‘cheating’ clash with Kelly Rowland on The Voice and says ‘they have different personalities so were bound to have disagreements’

Jules Sebastian has leapt to the defence of her husband Guy after he came to blows with Kelly Rowland following a ‘cheating scandal’ on The Voice Australia earlier this month.

The stylist, 42, noted that there was bound to be ‘moments of disagreements’ because the show had ‘four judges with four different personalities.’

Jules went on to dismiss the feud as not holding any serious relevance, telling New Idea: ‘At the end of the day, it’s a TV show and at the end of the day, it’s all a bit of fun.’

Jules also explained that her husband’s main focus was his role as a mentor to the contestants.

She said: ‘The thing with Guy is he’s an artist himself and he puts the music first and wants the artist to get credit where credit is due.’

Kelly and Guy’s tension reached boiling point in an episode of The Voice Australia earlier this month.

The former Destiny’s Child star stormed off after she felt Guy had made an ‘unfair’ song choice for Bukhu Ganburged and Johnny Manuel’s duet.

In an earlier episode, Kelly had angrily confronted Guy after he turned his chair for a singer in the blinds even though he already had a full team.

In an interview last week, Guy claimed it took the celebrity coaches more than three months to resolve the feud that is only now being aired on TV.

‘We’ve made up; we bonded the other day,’ Guy told WHO magazine on Thursday.

In May, Guy revealed he had ‘unresolved feelings’ of anger about one of the female coaches following an on-set argument earlier in the season.

Speaking to Sydney Morning Herald at the time, Guy said: ‘There’s unresolved feelings because COVID hit right after we had a massive argument.’
