June Shannon admits she was high during a failed intervention on Mama June: From Not To Hot

Mama June revealed she was high the whole time during her contentious failed intervention on Friday’s Mama June: From Not To Hot.

The 40-year-old reality star (real name June Shannon) made the admission along with other behind the scenes footage from the current season.

The episode also included a sneak peek of next week’s finale, which features a shouting match showdown between June’s daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson, 14.

Opening up: Mama June Shannon, 40, revealed that she was high the whole time during her contentious failed intervention on Friday’s Mama June: From Not To Hot

The episode opened with Alana and her sister Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon, 20, filming from their home and showing off some angry sunburns.

The two explored some of the major headlines plaguing their mother along with footage that hadn’t previously been shown on From Not To Hot.

They opened with June being interviewed by a producer outside a rehab facility she checked into during last week’s episode.

June admitted her angry behavior around her family during the intervention was exacerbated by drugs.

In previously seen footage, she storms out of the house, breaking decorations on the front door in the process before stopping on the driveway for a few minutes while her family pleaded for her to come back.

The reality fixture also had a testy intake interview at the facility in which she said she was spending up to $3,000 per day on drugs.

According to her, she mostly snorted cocaine until it damaged her vision, at which point she switched to smoking crack cocaine.

She claimed to have been consuming multiple ounces of cocaine at the height of her drug use.

June also seemed to have issues with reality after she claimed she was not addicted and could stop using crack cocaine whenever she wanted to.

She also claimed that her work hadn’t been affected by her drug use, despite not being featured on most of the current season because of her drug problems and legal issues.

June’s deceit extended to how she sold her family’s home, which came as a surprise to Pumpkin and Alana.

In last week’s episode, she admitted to Pumpkin that she sold the house at a tremendous loss because she was ‘dead broke.’

But during her interview with a producer that same night, June claimed she wasn’t broke and had merely sold the house because there were ‘bad memories’ associated with it.

‘For the last year or so, it’s just been one thing after another,’ she said on the verge of tears. ‘It felt like everything that could happen was happening in that house.’

However, she didn’t explain why she sold the house so quickly and for thousands of dollars less than it was worth.

Back at her home, Pumpkin put more stock in what her mother told her than the producer, adding that ‘Addicts lie all the time.’

Later in the episode, June’s sister Joanne ‘Doe Doe’ Shannon and her daughter Amber played amateur sleuths after June’s boyfriend Geno Doak drunkenly crashed his SUV into her house.

In unseen footage, the two drove past the home to see the dents in the garage door and damage to the structure, just as Geno and June arrived at home in the same black Suburban and caught sight of them.

After selling the house, friends around town told Doe Doe that June and Geno were staying at a pay-by-the-hour motel in a shady area, so they called for a welfare check on June while the camera crew waited outside the motel.

After police arrived to check on June, Doe Doe noted that Geno was smart to come out to talk to them while leaving the door closed with June inside, because any drugs or paraphernalia left in plain sight could have resulted in his arrest.

The episode ended with a hint of what’s to come for next week’s season finale.

Pumpkin takes Alana to visit her father Sugar Bear and his wife Jennifer, but the visit devolves into bitter shouting after Jennifer appears to threaten to take custody of Alana away from her big sister.

The short clip also hinted that June might have some serious trouble keeping up with her outpatient treatment program because of her relationship with Geno.

A seen of her refusing to get into a car going to the airport seemed to suggest she might give up on it completely.
