Justin Bieber insists making his new sixth album was the first time he’s ‘enjoyed the process’ because he didn’t alienate his loved ones in the process

Ahead of the release of his sixth studio album, Justice, Justin Bieber has admitted he’s enjoyed the process of making a record for the first time ever.

Speaking to Billboard ahead of the March 19 release, Justin said: ‘I think this is the first time in my life where I’ve actually enjoyed the process of releasing an album.

‘And that’s because I’ve created boundaries to be like, “No it’s just not worth it. You’re going to have to push the album back if we can’t make [that deadline] because this dinner with my wife is going to have to happen!”‘

On the different chapters of his career, he added: ”[Beforehand] everything was about success, benchmarks and such, and then I was just still empty, you know?

‘All my relationships were suffering, but I had all this success and all of this money, and it just wasn’t fulfilling for me.’

Speaking about canceling the last leg of his Purpose tour, Justin went on: ‘I just changed my priorities so that I didn’t [become] another statistic of young musicians that ended up, like, not making it.

‘There was a time where I really did have my identity wrapped up in my career, but I really do have an overflow of feeling like my purpose is to use my music to inspire.’
