Karl Stefanovic almost moved to tears after receiving a baby gift from Ally Langdon 

Karl Stefanovic was almost moved to tears on Tuesday after receiving a baby gift live on the Today show.

The 45-year-old became emotional after co-host Allison Langdon surprised him with a white onesie that was branded with the Today show logo.

‘This is a little present from the Today show team for you and Jas [Jasmine Yarbrough] for beautiful Harper’s arrival,’ Allison, 40, said as she handed him the gift.

‘We think you should open it on air and share it with everyone!’ she urged.

‘Aw, that is so cute, thank you so much,’ Karl said as he held the onesie up to the camera. ‘Lovely, lovely, lovely. She’s going to probably fit that when she’s four.’

At this point, Karl admitted that he was close to tears.

‘She’s so tiny. Like three kilos of just awesomeness. Thank you to my Today show family. I really appreciate it. Gonna make me cry,’ he said.

Karl and wife Jasmine welcomed their baby daughter Harper May earlier this month. 

He returned to the Today show last week after taking 10 days off following Harper’s arrival.

Karl told co-host Ally that he was ‘struggling a bit’ when she asked him how he was finding being back at work so soon.

‘Everything hurts. I’m tired. Emotional,’ he confessed.

But the struggle was clearly worth it for Karl, who said of his little girl: ‘She is so gorgeous, 2.9 kilos of just scrumptious delight.’

He added: ‘She’s sleeping okay, three hours on, three hours off. Jasmine has just taken it in her stride. She is feeding really well. It makes me cry already.’

Karl also has three older children, Jackson, 20, Ava, 15, and River, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
