Kate Beckinsale and beloved ‘grumpy’ cat Clive dress up as Santa for annual festive Instagram snap

‘Tis the season when she dresses up as Santa.

And it’s also the season when she dresses up her beloved cat Clive as Santa Claus, too.

The English actress, 47, posted a photo of herself and her cat in costume to Instagram on Sunday and added the caption: ‘Santa babies.’

A year ago, she had posted a photo of Clive dressed as Santa sitting in front of a decorated Christmas tree.

It’s a ritual that’s as much a part of the holidays for the Underworld star as mince pies and stockings. 

Clive is the perfect foil for Beckinsale’s sense of humor and she likes to dress him up in costumes. And he always seems to look unamused by her antics. 

But Clive is not the only ‘victim’ of her pranks. 

The actress is an avid cat lover and dotes on her beloved Persian felines, as well as on her cute Pomeranian pup. 

She’s shared funny videos to her Instagram which showed her using her cat Willow as a duster to polish the wooden floor in her home.

‘Having a crack at the low dusting before I buff the kettle with the Pomeranian,’ she joked. 

In 2019, Beckinsale told People that she is ‘very much a cat person’. 

She said that she’s had Clive since her daughter Lily, now 21, was a child while she inherited Willow from a friend.

Earlier this month, Beckinsale displayed her quirky sense of humor in a playful Instagram video with Lily, whose father is Welsh actor Michael Sheen,

Beckinsale was dressed as a strawberry while Lily was dressed as a bunch of grapes.

In the video clip, they danced along to Toto’s Africa and in the caption, the Serendipity star wrote: ‘I miss when we used to resolve conflict as fruit.’
