Katharine McPhee highlights her legs in a skirt as she leaves a friend’s house with David Foster

She’s been nearly religious about wearing a mask in public since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Katharine McPhee let caution fall by the wayside as she visited a friend’s house in West Hollywood on Monday with her husband David Foster, 70.

The 36-year-old Smash star rocked a relaxed denim skirt for their outing that put her trim legs on full display.

Katharine paired the skirt with a low-cut black tank top and matching black sandals.

She blocked out the sun with a pair of sunglasses perched atop her shoulder-length brunette tresses.

David was dressed casually in a white T-shirt under an unbuttoned navy shirt, along with acid wash jeans and classic white sneakers.

The songwriter and producer carried out some leftovers from their friendly get-together in a plastic container, and he made sure to wear a surgical-style mask, as he’s at greater risk of complications from COVID-19 due to his age.

The day before, Katharine celebrated Father’s Day with a sweet snap featuring her father Daniel McPhee.

The American Idol star, who had swapped out her trademark brunette tresses in favor of a blonde hairdo in the throwback photo, planted a kiss on her father’s cheek while he smiled into the camera.

‘Happy Fathers Day Dad. Ya even loved me when I went that awful shade of blonde. I miss you everyday. Happy Fathers Day to all you fathers out there ❤️,’ she captioned the snap.

In a little over a week, her husband David will give his fans a rare glimpse into both his creative and personal lives with the documentary David Foster: Off The Record, which premieres on Netflix on July 1.

The new trailer, which dropped last week, teases interviews with musical luminaries including Lionel Richie, Michael Buble, Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion, among others.

Speaking of his five marriage, David admits in the film that ‘when things get rough or bad, rather than working it out I run.’

‘He runs but I come chasing for him, but I did tell him, I said: “There are gonna be times when I need you to come find me,”‘ replies Katharine

The film, which is directed by Barry Avrich, includes interviews with some of the legendary songwriter’s daughters, four out of five of whom are older than his current wife.

His daughter Erin Foster states matter-of-factly: ‘Women are his weakness.’

The trailer also includes a funny moment when David complains about people on the street recognizing him from the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills because of his former marriage to Yolanda Hadid, mother to Gigi and Bella, rather than because of his musical talent.
