Specific plot details about the film are currently being kept under wraps, with the only available information indicating that Craig’s character, Benoit Blanc, will solve another mystery that involves a sizable set of characters.

Hahn’s character has not been named as of yet, and no hints about her role in the upcoming film have been given to the public.

Rian Johnson, who directed and wrote the screenplay for the original feature, will return in both capacities for the sequel.

Principal photography on the feature is set to begin this summer, with Greece serving as a shooting location.

The original Knives Out followed a master detective who becomes involved in an investigation centered around the wealthy head of a highly fractured family.

The film also featured an ensemble cast that included Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Plummer, among several others.

Upon its original release in September of 2019, the mystery picture received widespread critical acclaim, with many reviewers pointing to the performance of the cast and the intricately planned plot as high points.

Knives Out’s 47-year-old director was later nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, which ultimately went to Bong Joon-Ho and Han Jin-Won for their work on Parasite.

Prior to the film’s release, Johnson expressed his desire to write several mysteries featuring Benoit Blanc, and began working on a sequel shortly after the first feature made its debut.

After several months of negotiations, a follow-up to the original movie was greenlit in February of last year.

In March, it was announced that Netflix had purchased the rights to two further Knives Out-related projects for nearly $470 million.

The sequel to the hit mystery film currently does not have a set release date.
