Katie hired a tractor for the huge job at hand as she sorted through discarded children toys, a Wendy house, animal food troughs and chicken pens.

The television personality appeared overwhelmed with the job at hand, stopping to look down at the stacks of rubbish piled up in her garden which was filled with weeds and nettles.

Despite the rather grubby clear-up, Katie was not without a glamorous make-up look as she sported dramatic lashes, an ample amount of bronzer and a glossy pink lip.

She was forced to give up her £2million 11-bedroom mansion a month later after signing the property over to a trustee.

The house in West Sussex, where Katie lived with her children, included a swimming pool, tennis court and horse stables.

Katie took out a second mortgage on the property in 2015, but faced monthly payments of £12,300, and is now thought to be £100,000 in arrears.

Following years of incomplete renovations the house was nicknamed the ‘mucky mansion’ with Katie even showcasing the extent of the mess on her reality series My Crazy Life.

The star was planning on turning her home into a wedding venue, and soon started extensive renovations which halted after being declared bankrupt, with Katie being forced to living in Harvey’s annex.

At the start of December, it was reported that Katie was allegedly taking the builder who worked on her home to court, and wanted to sue him for £1.5 million.

According to The Sun she felt he had ‘ruined’ her home after leaving ‘rubble dumped on the grounds’ and blocking a septic tank that ‘leaks excrement’ on her property.

Speaking to the publication, a source claimed: ‘Katie’s at her wits end and had to go to police after things went wrong with the house.

‘She’s also talking to lawyers as she wants to take the builder to court. She claims he’s basically ruined the house and she needs £1.5m compensation.

‘She will have to pay to move all the rubble dumped on the grounds, and thinks she’s got a good case for criminal damage because the house has been ripped apart.’

The source added that Katie felt she was ‘literally left “living in s***”‘ following the work done on her home because of a leaking septic tank.

MailOnline contacted Katie’s representatives for comment at the time.
