Katie Price joins Clap for Carers salute as her son Harvey performs We Are The Champions

Katie Price showed her appreciation for NHS frontline workers as she joined in the weekly Clap For Our Carers salute on Thursday.

The former glamour model, 41, was joined by her son Harvey, 17, who performed a rendition of Queen’s We Are The Champions on a keyboard. 

Katie stood on her front doorstep and said: ‘What time is it? Clap for the carers. Everyone on the frontline still doing a good job.

‘You’ve done a song for them haven’t you Harv? Do you want to play it?’

‘Yeah, are you ready?’ Harvey replied before he played We Are The Champions.

Katie began to dance and click her fingers beside him before mother and son gave one final clap for frontline workers. 

Alongside the heartwarming video, the reality TV star wrote: ‘#ClapForCarers Harvey and I showing our appreciation this evening for all the incredible key workers keeping our country going.

In a recent post, the reality personality posed in front of a £45,000 Range Rover Velar 4X4 while clutching a £1,800 Louis Vuitton Onthego GM bag.

Although the onus of the post was to advertise her budget £16 outfit – which she donned to do the weekly food shop – it was a stark contrast against her flashy belongings.

The married mum-of-five told her 2.1 million Instagram followers: ‘Grocery shopping in my JYY London short set. Only £16 from my range. Lots of colours online and perfect for the heatwave this week.’

But fans were quick to blast the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star, knowing she was declared bankrupt last November at the High Court. 

‘When people say they have no money and they drive a £50k car, don’t think that’s struggling,’ one person posted.

Another added: ‘Have a look at the world at the moment, no one’s got money, everyone losing their jobs.’

A rep for Katie told MailOnline: ‘This image was taken for a promotional clothing brand. It is commonplace for a model to use props in such set ups. None were bought for the purpose of the shoot and were re-purposed for the shoot.

‘It is a shame trolls do not cease to feel the need to constantly pick holes and criticise.’

Katie was last seen on screen last month when she became the first star to quit Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins after she struggled with a gruelling sandbag challenge in the second episode.

Katie has vowed to get fit during the current COVID-19 lockdown and enjoyed a scenic bike ride with her children on Sunday.

While Katie has been self-isolating with Harvey, whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke, her son Junior, 14, and daughter Princess have been splitting their time with Katie and their father Peter Andre during lockdown.

The same goes for her youngest children Jett and Bunny, who have spent time with Katie’s estranged husband, Kieran Hayler.
