Katy Perry reveals she has a shortlist of names for her baby girl on the way with Orlando Bloom: ‘We’ve got options and she’ll tell us!’
Katy Perry is still awaiting the birth of her first child, a baby girl, with fiance Orlando Bloom, and says she’s ‘been every emotion under the sun’ during her pregnancy.
The Daisies songstress, 35, chatted with Karson and Kennedy on Boston’s Mix 104.1 on Monday morning, during which she hinted that she plans to let her little bun in the oven make the final decision as to what to be called.
‘We have yet to decide specifically on her name because, I think, we’ve got options and she’ll tell us,’ Katy said of her deliberations on baby names with beau Orlando, 43.

‘I’ll look at her and go, “Oh yea yea, you are her, you are that!”‘ she added.
And when asked how she’s feeling, Perry quipped, ‘Do we have enough time to answer that question?’
But in truth, the Firework hitmaker said she is ‘as excited as I can be.’
‘I’ve been every emotion under the sun. I’ve been overwhelmed, I’ve been anxious, I’ve been happy, I’ve been overjoyed, I’ve been depressed. I’ve been all of it,’ she allowed.

‘The world is just a wild time and it’s a wild time to bring life into the world,’ Katy added. ‘People were already having those kinds of conversations years ago where it was like, “Man, the world feels a little uncertain”… and now it really feels shaky boots!’
And while this is the first child for the Grammy nominated singer, it’s the second for Lord Of The Rings star Bloom, who is dad to nine-year-old Flynn with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
When asked about wether Orlando is looking forward to becoming a ‘girl dad,’ Katy didn’t hesitate.
‘He’s really excited for a little girl,’ she said. ‘They say that little girls are, you know, daddy’s little girl! that’s how it’s gonna be, we’ll see!’

Additionally, the outspoken singer talked up her new studio album – her sixth – which she has also yet to name publicly.
‘I’m gonna have a child, I’m gonna have a record, I don’t know which one is coming first!’ she joked.
Toward the end of the interview, Perry touched upon a topic she’s openly discussed before – mental health – and referred to the new album as ‘a wonderful touchstone for me,’ proof that she’s come out of a dark time and continued to live, and bring new life into the world.
Katy’s new record drops on August 14th, and it’s her first album since 2017’s Witness.
