No details have been given regarding the story of Peele’s new film, or what characters Palmer and Kaluuya may portray.

There were reports that Jesse Plemons may be eyeing a role, though a report from Collider claims he has a ‘scheduling conflict that will preclude his participation.’

That report also adds Palmer will be, ‘the film’s female lead,’ though nothing further was revealed about the cast or the story.

Universal Pictures will distribute the untitled project, which falls under the five-year first look deal with Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions company.

The studio has already set a July 22, 2022 release date for the project, which likely indicates filming would start sometime this summer to meet that date.

Peele will write, direct and produce, alongside Ian Cooper for his Monkeypaw Productions.
