‘I’ve never had a stye before… About three or four weeks ago, one popped up. And, you know, [I] called the doctor. He said there’s really nothing to do.’

She explained she’s using warm compresses and ointment on the lump but it’s not been working.

‘It has now taken on a life of its own, a shape of its own,’ Kelly said.

She even revealed her doctor was shocked at how stubborn her stye is, ‘I have FaceTimed my dermatologist, who said, “Whoa! That’s crazy!”‘

Co-host Ryan Seacrest agreed that her makeup skills were impressive after he privately saw a picture of the stye without makeup.

‘Does it feel like you’re wearing a fedora on your eyelid?’ he joked. To which Kelly replied, ‘I feel like I’m wearing a baseball cap. A baseball cap is on my eye.’

Kelly is in a predicament because for a stye to heal, generally it’s advised not to wear makeup, but the TV host has to cover it up for filming her morning show.

She added, ‘Here’s what’s interesting: my dermatologist said, “Have you been wearing makeup?” And I said, “No.” And he said, “Really? Because I saw you on the show and you had makeup on.” And I said, “Well, I had to conceal it, otherwise people will see this other person growing out of my eye”.’

In desperate need of advice, Kelly asked viewers to give her tips on how to cure her stye at home.

Meanwhile, the TV personality has been quarantining in the Caribbean with husband Mark Consuelos and their three children.

The couple – who share daughter Lola, 18 and sons Michael, 22, and Joaquin, 17 – were on a vacation when the lockdowns started and ABC instructed them to shelter in place.

According to PEOPLE Kelly said: Lucky for us, we had our three children,

‘And then, you know, it was supposed to be a two-week trip and we wound up going right back to work.

‘Ryan and I both decided it was better to do the show, because we just felt like in with everything that was going on in the world that perhaps, some normalcy of just doing what we normally do, even though it was like in very unusual circumstances, would be the best thing for us.

The TV star has been remotely filming episodes of Live with Kelly and Ryan since late March.
