KJ Apa announces he is expecting his first child with girlfriend Clara Berry

KJ Apa is expecting his first child with girlfriend Clara Berry.

The Riverdale actor, 23, announced her pregnancy on his Instagram account on Wednesday, where he posted a photo of the model relaxing on the couch with her baby bump on display.

Clara shared even more photos of her growing midsection to her own account, where she posed by a skyline with her bare bump on display.

The photos included a snap of Clara lounging on their couch with her pooch and another of her cradling her growing bump.

She captioned the slideshow with a face and sunny side egg emoji.

The announcement comes just days after KJ admitted he would quit his acting career in order to start a family.

In an interview with Australian’s Men’s Health, the actor said the fruits of his success would mean nothing if he did not have a family to share it with.

‘I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life, other than the fact that I want to be a father,’ he told the magazine. ‘It’s a lonely place, this industry. Human interactions are no longer the same for me. I’m searching. I’m searching for genuine relationships with people who genuinely care about me and who I care about, not because of who I am or who they are.’ 

‘I don’t want to be lonely for the rest of my life,’ he added. ‘I’m looking around me at people doing what I’m doing, putting everything into their careers and into fame and into themselves. 

‘I’m guilty of the same thing but I look around and I’m like, “Wait, what’s the point of all this if you can’t share it with anyone other than yourself and your friends?” It becomes meaningless. I’d be willing to drop acting and all of this if I had a beautiful family. If I had to do it, I would do it.’
