‘And she happened to be single, at the same time I happened to be single, and we just admitted to each other – and this was a long time after Imogen and I finished – “Oh, there are feelings here.”‘

Kyle said that Tegan, who started working for him in 2017, was the one who broached the subject first, adding: ‘It developed slowly from there.

‘It was nice, it was a nice thing. It came from a real friendship place.’

Later in the interview, Kyle said he would probably give up on relationships altogether if he and Tegan were to break up.

‘I’m glad I’m not dating right now; I’d rather just be alone,’ he said.

‘Seriously, it’s too much effort. If this one doesn’t work out, I’m alone. Alone.’
