Kylie Gillies compares her husband Tony to ‘sticky date pudding’

The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies has shared a sweet tribute to her husband Tony as he celebrated his birthday on Sunday.

The 53-year-old shared a family photo of the couple with their two sons Archie and  Gus as they enjoyed a dinner to Instagram along with a sweet message.

‘Sunday night early birthday dinner for Tony [because] a Monday birthday is no fun at all. Although I WILL make school lunches all on my own tomorrow. (Take the morning off!) Happy B-day Tone,’ she captioned the post.

‘We love you, almost as much as we loved the sticky date pudding tonight,’ Kylie added.

In the photo, Kylie looked stylish in a black leather skirt, black jumper and a pair of boots.

Her husband Tony also kept warm in jeans, a white buttoned shirt and a black jumper along with a pair of brown boots.

The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in May 2019, and Kylie marked the occasion with a series of throwback photos shared to Instagram at the time.

One photo saw the pair on their wedding day, with Kylie showing off her tiny waist in a demure gown with puffy sleeves and a traditional veil.

Another picture saw Kylie pregnant with one of the couple’s two sons.

She wrote in the caption: ’30 years of Mr & Mrs Gillies. Happy Anniversary my darling Tone. Let’s get cracking on another 30 years of us.’

Kylie opened up about motherhood in an interview with Good Health magazine in May this year.

‘My weekends and weeknights are full of the boys’ sports events,’ she said. ‘Being a mum to teens is terrific, but it’s busy. It’s a full-time job, coupled with my full-time TV job.’
