Larry Emdur and his wife Sylvie reveal their marriage secrets as they celebrate 26 years together

Larry Emdur and his wife Sylvie are about to celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary. 

And in an interview for The Sunday Telegraph’s Body+Soul, the couple revealed their secrets to a successful partnership.

The 55-year-old TV host explained the pair have a pact to create memories by doing something ‘crazy’ each year while they can.

‘We decided we need to do at least one completely crazy thing each year so that we’ll have some ridiculously good stories to remind each other about when we’re in the nursing home,’ he said.

The Morning Show presenter also said that has never been one to start and argument or to engage in conflict.

‘I’d love to be one of those people who can puff their chest out and have a good solid argument but I’m just not. Once I screamed at our son and I ran off and threw up,’ he added.

Meanwhile, Sylvie revealed Larry’s positivity and optimistic attitude has mean their relationship hasn’t caused major problems. 

‘You never know what you’re going to get with him but it’s always spontaneous and fun. We’re very lovey-dovey,’ she said.

Larry and Sylvie tied the knot in 1995. The couple share two children, son Jye, 26 and daughter Tia, 21.

Aside from a successful marriage, Larry and Sylvie also own an extensive property portfolio.

The couple recently splashed out $2.15million on a stylish new container home, which is their eco-friendly holiday rental that guests can stay at for $1K per night. 

In February, the couple paid $1.1million for a property in Berowra Waters, in Sydney’s north.

In 2017, the couple sold their clifftop mansion in Dover Heights for a record $11.5 million to celebrity account Anthony Bell.

Larry and Sylvie are now based in The Rocks in a $3 million heritage-listed apartment.
