Former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant has shared a gut-wrenching social media about feeling ‘hopeless and helpless’ following the tragic death of her sister-in-law Sandra Brant.

The children’s entertainer, 32, shared a picture to Instagram of Sandra smiling while posing in a field of sunflowers.

‘One week since Sandy passed. The heartbreak we are all experiencing is something that can’t be explained,’ she wrote.

‘It’s pure hopelessness & helplessness. I am reposting the last message Sandy gave publicly below. There is so much to take from this.’

Lauren then shared Sandra’s final Instagram post, which read: ‘This will be my last post to all my followers and supporters out there.’

‘Thank you for all your encouragement, heartfelt stories, and love you have showed… Always look on the bright side of life. Never stop smiling. Love the ones you love.’

The message continued: ‘Make the most of every day and please be sensible and get yourself checked and scanned.’

It comes after Lauren penned a heartbreaking tribute after Sandra died on March 4 from bowel cancer at the age of 41.

‘Always in our hearts. At 10.20am on 4 March 2021, our beautiful Sandra Rosemary Brant, grew her wings at the young age of 41,’ she wrote.

‘Sandra lived, always with the most beautiful smile, and acted on what brought her heart joy.

‘She absolutely loved her husband Tyron, son Connor and daughter Allegra, with her whole being.’

‘Sandra was strong and graceful through her suffering and inspired us all. She took her last breath in her husbands arms, her favourite place in the whole world, and is now finally at peace.’

‘For those who have been blessed to know Sandra, have been touched by an angel. Rest in peace and enjoy your wings, gorgeous girl,’ she concluded.
