Lauren Phillips’ reveals her exciting new job after being sledged by her ex-husband Lachlan Spark

She’s had a rough week after her ex-husband Lachlan Spark launched a series of scathing attacks on her in the press and on social media. 

But there is finally some good news for TV presenter Lauren Phillips, who has revealed that she has an exciting new job as summer fill-in on breakfast radio show, Jase & PJ. 

Appearing on the program last week, the Today show weekend weather reporter explained that she is will be joined by radio presenter Ryan Jon. 

‘I’m really looking forward to it.. Doing radio’s going to be a lot of fun,’ she said. 

‘I’m doing it with Ryan Jon, who, we actually don’t know each other very well, so we’ve been like phone dating for the last few months to get to know each other.’  

However, Lauren did admit that hosting the radio program will be a learning curve for the TV personality.   

‘I’m very much on my L plates, and I’ll be doing whatever I’m told,’ she added.

It comes after her ex Lachlan lashed out at her, several times in the past week, blasting the TV star’s lifestyle. 

But on Sunday he admitted that he regretted speaking of Lauren saying it was ‘naive and stupid’.  

‘It was incredibly naive and stupid of me to say anything about my experience,’ he told the Herald Sun.

‘I deserve all the criticism I’ve copped and I regret the hurt I’ve caused. Back to anonymity for this fool.’

Following the statement, Lachlan deactivated his Instagram page and hasn’t indicated when he will return to social media.

In a shock Instagram post debuting his new girlfriend Courtney Wynbergen last week, Lachlan said he’d been seeking more substance from a partner since separating from Lauren.

In the scathing assessment of his marriage, he accused Lauren of ‘caring more about herself’ during their relationship.

‘A while ago, I married a girl who cared much more about herself and how she was perceived than she did about me.

‘I truly believed there was more to a relationship (and life) than skin-deep friends, free holidays and Instagram followers – I just needed to find it.

‘Approaching 40, I was more than a bit nervous I’d wasted a big chunk of my life with the wrong person, and that I was long odds to find anyone who was willing (or able) to give me the love I knew I deserved.’ 

Lauren presenter has maintained a dignified silence since her marriage was thrust into the spotlight this week.

The former couple wed in 2017 after six years of dating, but confirmed their split in December 2018 after just a year of marriage.
