He’s the Lego Masters contestant who fell in love with building blocks from a young age.

And on Monday, Jackson Harvey revealed what an integral part Lego plays in his life. 

Speaking to Woman’s Day, the 29-year-old said that he is planning to propose to his girlfriend Ashley with a Lego ring.

‘She isn’t really into diamonds, perhaps [I’ll get her] a Lego ring instead,’ he told the publication.

He also gushed about his girlfriend and revealed she encouraged him and his friend Alex to join the show.

‘When she heard we’d been selected for the show, all she said was, “I told you so!”,’ he said.

He added: ‘I wasn’t at all optimistic about our chances. She believed in us way more than we did.’ 

Meanwhile, Channel Nine recently gave fans a glimpse inside the show’s Brick Pit. 

This year’s Brick Pit contains 3million LEGO pieces, up from last year’s 2.5million, and almost every piece is arranged by colour.

There are 60 different shades to choose from, and it took a team of 122 people and 1,098 hours to organise the room.

It also contains over 5,000 unique LEGO elements, allowing contestants to bring their visions to life.

In addition to this, the Brick Pit also features a massive wall with 9,000 minifigures meticulously lined up for the show’s participants to inspect and select.
