Lisa Curry has revealed the warning signs she noticed in her daughter Jaimi Kenny prior to her death aged 33 last month.
In posts uncovered by News Corp in Lisa’s private ‘Happy Hormones’ Facebook group, the three-time Olympian, 58, explained that Jaimi had struggled with her health for years after being diagnosed with a ‘chemical imbalance’ at age 15.
‘Sometimes, an individual, even adults like us, can disregard little red flags, thinking it doesn’t matter or won’t matter,’ the grieving mother wrote on Monday.

‘I know people want to know why and how [Jaimi died], but it’s not important at this time, or maybe ever, I don’t know,’ Lisa wrote.
‘What I will say though is that Jeff diagnosed her with a chemical imbalance 18 years ago when we started to see some tiny red flags,’ she continued, referring to Jeff Butterworth, a naturopath who specialises in hormonal disorders.
The swimmer, who shared Jaimi with ex-husband Grant Kenny, begged other members in the group not to ignore the warning signs she experienced with Jaimi, as they ‘could add up to slowly erode your whole being.’

These ‘red flags’ include making bad food choices, being inactive, handling stressful situations poorly and spending time with ‘toxic people’.
‘Don’t wait until it’s too late to make changes … do it now while you can … starting right now,’ she pleaded.
Jaimi died at Sunshine Coast University Hospital on September 14, after a long battle with alcoholism and an eating disorder.

She was buried at a 100-person funeral on the Sunshine Coast, which was attended by her parents, sporting greats Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny, and her younger brother, model Jett Kenny.
Following Jaimi’s death, Lisa had confessed that she didn’t know ‘what to do’ with herself while carrying so much grief.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘I don’t know what to do…’ alongside emojis depicting a sad face, a broken heart and an angel.

Lisa also alluded to her daughter’s battle with demons that led to her death, saying that at least now they would haunt her no more.
‘Our little angel, you can now rest peacefully. Free of pain, free to flourish and free to grow, free to just be,’ she added.
‘Jaimi, as dad and I lovingly held you when you took your first breath, we lovingly held you as you took your last. Goodnight sweet girl… we hope you have a nice long sleep.’
